Hitler Hated Black People, Too

I know we went over this in history class and shit, but unfortunately, for a select few of us, common knowledge doesn’t seem that, well, common.

DeSean Jackson, who plays football for the Philadelphia Eagles, made a post where he quoted Adolf Hitler, who is in everybody’s conversation for the most evil GOAT of all time. Like, if your most evil GOAT list doesn’t contain Adolf Hitler, then you must got some whole planet destroying niggas in your conversation, like the Death Star or some shit.

Anyway, in an Instagram story he shared over the weekend, the 33-year-old posted a quote attributed to Adolf Hitler which states the white Jews “will blackmail America. [They] will extort America, their plan for world domination won’t work if the Negroes know who they were.” Well, for one, this quote is anti-sematic than a mf and for two, HITLER DIDN’T EVEN SAY THE SHIT! And this is why I say, ALWAYS check your sources and NEVER quote Hitler. I don’t give af if Hitler said, “Halle Berry is beautiful.” And I’m going to be like, “Nah, she ugly than a mf.”

What made this just as troubling is that Stephen Jackson, a fellow black athlete who has been essential to the recent BLM protest movement in this country, defended him. Like bruh, we love you. Sit this one out. PLEASE.

The quote that DeSean posted has been circulating throughout the social media-verse for years, now. And it unfortunately seems to gain traction every year. The quote is used to support this outlandish claim that Hitler planned to launch a world war after his death to prevent black people in America from being oppressed by the Jews. This quote also perpetuates toxic far-right and anti-Semitic propaganda that Jewish people secretly control the world, through financial and political clout.

Now, DeSean and Stephen, to their credit, have apologized and I’m sure the former will seek some form of anti-semantic counseling and may even visit a Holocaust museum or two. But while that is happening, can we also dispel this notion that Hitler had a “soft spot” for black folks?

Because, nah. He didn’t.

Nazi Germany and Germany before the Nazis controlled the government, were extremely racist and implemented harmful policies aimed at Black Africans. After World War 1, many French troops, including French Africans were sent to Rhineland, a western German territory. There, some (not many) official and non-official unions were formed between German women and Black Frenchman during this occupation. These unions produced children and these children were dubbed the derogatory term, “Rhineland Bastards.”

In his book Mein Kampf, Hitler described the children as a contamination of the white race “by Negro blood on the Rhine in the heart of Europe.” He wrote, “Jews were responsible for bringing Negroes into the Rhineland, with the ultimate idea of bastardizing the white race which they hate and thus lowering its cultural and political level so that the Jew might dominate.” Hitler, in Mein Kampf, also implied that this was a plot on the part of the French, since the population of France was being increasingly “negrified.”

These “bastards,” along with many other Black Germans were sent to concentration camps, subjected to racist Nuremberg laws that wouldn’t allow them basic rights nor employment in most avenues, and were the victims of a systematic policy to sterilize black Germans so they wouldn’t reproduce with “pure” Germans. Girls as young as 11 would be sterilized through this Nazi Sterilization Program.

Or that Germany, before the Nazi takeover, exterminated countless black folks, which was ultimately the blueprint for the Nazi’s more efficient, policy driven Holocaust extermination.

Honestly, I think it’s an easy conclusion to theorize that if Nazism would’ve won the day, they would’ve attempted to exterminate the entire black race for the purpose of keeping their Aryan race as “pure” as possible. Because that’s all Nazi’s cared about. Their “pure” Aryan race and their “living space.”
