Honestly, the title is enough, right? Like, I shouldn’t type too many words after this, but I’ll type a few so I can fulfill my “Trolling Karen and Karen adjacent” quota for the week.
Chicago Mayor, Lori Lightfoot aka Ms. Lori, is the mayor of a major city. And she didn’t become mayor of a major city with memes and funny pictures, even though I love posting said memes and pictures, relentlessly. In fact, if you go on my Facebook page, her image is literally littered with pictures of her, along with my attempt to conceptualize funny captions to match the images.
But she got to where she is because she is qualified. She went to the smart schools, got the smart degrees, did the important work and got the important experience. Carrie needs to know her place the next time she addresses a former assistant US attorney and Chicago’s first Black woman mayor. In other words, Karen, or Karen’s daughter, Carrie, should really stfu talking to Mayor Lightfoot.
Because Lightfoot will give her these intellectual and physical hands.
Also, yeah, as for that little Press Secretary. I’m not honoring her with the name of Karen. Karen holds too much weight for her. I, henceforth, deem her the misguided daughter of Karen, Carrie. And Carrie decided to come for Mayor Lightfoot. And unfortunately for Carrie, it didn’t end well for her. White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany aka Carrie called Lightfoot “the derelict mayor of Chicago” in a press briefing. This did not sit well with Ms. Lori and she proceeded to tell Carrie to shut the fuck up. Ok, well, she didn’t, but she basically said it in so many characters.
For further context, even though we don’t really need any, Ms. Lori has this long-running feud with President Donald Trump, which includes asserting that he is trying to “demonize” Democratic mayors – women in particular – to try to score points with his own base and distract from his handling of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ms. Lori also slammed Trump for “a litany of nonsense” in a letter the White House recently sent her, urging her to “secure your city.”
